From Swiss Ski Handicap to Villars Ski Open

The “Swiss Ski Handicap”, a national concept of popular racing for all ages, has been organized by the Swiss Ski School since 1980. Everyone is invited to compete against a benchmark racer (Eric Rogenmoser for the Villars resort) to calculate their ski handicap. The event was a huge success from the outset.

Over the years, interest in this competition has only grown, so much so that following its disappearance at national level, the Swiss Ski School Villars decided to perpetuate this good-natured race on its own. Thus, the “Villars Ski Open”, welcoming up to 200 competitors, were born and held 5 times a season…
