{"id":49493,"date":"2025-09-29T14:46:59","date_gmt":"2025-09-29T12:46:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ess-villars.ch\/?p=49493"},"modified":"2025-11-19T16:58:01","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T15:58:01","slug":"les-mardis-sportifs-ski-touring-in-the-moonlight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ess-villars.ch\/en\/les-mardis-sportifs-ski-touring-in-the-moonlight\/","title":{"rendered":"Sporty Tuesdays &#8211; Ski touring in the moonlight"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 data-start=\"143\" data-end=\"364\">Ski Under the Stars \u2013 December 16, 2025 to April 7, 2026<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"143\" data-end=\"364\">The Villars Swiss Ski School offers you a unique experience: a <strong data-start=\"258\" data-end=\"300\">ski touring outing<\/strong> every Tuesday evening, in a sporting and friendly atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"366\" data-end=\"601\">\ud83d\udccd <strong data-start=\"369\" data-end=\"384\">Meet at<\/strong> 5:30pm at the Roc d&#8217;Orsay gondola departure point, where your ESS instructor will welcome you for a small-group ascent.<br \/>\nAll along the way, take advantage of his technical advices and pro tips!<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"603\" data-end=\"774\">\u26f0\ufe0f <strong data-start=\"606\" data-end=\"620\">Itinerary<\/strong>: you&#8217;ll skirt the Col de Soud and the Villars golf course before reaching Bretaye, then the Roc d&#8217;Orsay, after a climb of around <strong data-start=\"737\" data-end=\"771\">700 metres<\/strong>.<br \/>\n500-metre elevation gain alternative circuit with a stop at the Maison de Montagne for lunch (meals and drinks at participants&#8217; expense)<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"776\" data-end=\"904\">\ud83c\udf7d\ufe0f <strong data-start=\"780\" data-end=\"795\">On arrival<\/strong>: a well-deserved welcome drink awaits you at the high-altitude restaurant <strong data-start=\"856\" data-end=\"868\">Le Rocco<\/strong>, perched at the top of the gondola. Then it&#8217;s time to recharge your batteries. Take a look at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvgd.ch\/en-US\/roccocantina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">their menu<\/a>, it&#8217;ll make you hungry! (meals and drinks at participants&#8217; expense)<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"906\" data-end=\"1149\">\ud83c\udf0c <strong data-start=\"909\" data-end=\"924\">The descent<\/strong>: a magical return under the stars and by headlamp light via the blue run accross Bretaye and the Col de Soud.<br \/>\nFor those who prefer, the Roc d&#8217;Orsay gondola will remain open exceptionally until 10:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1151\" data-end=\"1224\">\ud83c\udfbf <strong data-start=\"1154\" data-end=\"1171\">Level and equipment required<\/strong>: you are comfortable on a downhill blue run.
