The activities of the Swiss Ski and Snowboard School Villars have never been limited to simply teaching skiing and snowboarding.<\/p>\n
Since its establishment, the Swiss Ski School Villars has offered cross-country skiing courses, either as an addition or an alternative to downhill skiing.<\/p>\n
Over the years, the Swiss Ski School has adapted to the various trends and developments in snow sports. From \u201ccompact\u201d skiing to monoskiing, from \u201cartistic skiing\u201d to Skwal, the instructors taught on all kinds of devices. Not forgetting Andr\u00e9e Olloz’s sound advice to Sir George Solti, a fervent fan of…Ski bob…<\/p>\n

In the 80s, while his colleagues were discovering snowboarding, Christophe Smith was testing the first paraglider prototypes. \u201cWith the first wings, on good days, you could touch the snow only two or three times between the top of Chamossaire and Lake Bretaye,\u201d he recalls… Since then, the sails have evolved, and Christophe can pursue his passion by taking the guests of the resort on flights.<\/p>\n

The 90s saw the return of telemark skiing, and in 1993 Alexandre Z’Berg became the first teacher at Swiss Ski School Villars to hold all three ski, snowboard, and telemark qualifications.<\/p>\n
In recent years, the \u201cfree-ride\u201d craze has continued to grow, and ski instructors are working hard to combine safety with the joys of off-piste skiing. Mountain guides take ski lovers to the most beautiful spots by helicopter\u2026 Lately, with the emergence of snow parks, the Swiss Ski School has also seen strong \u201cfree-style\u201d development.<\/p>\n
